Glen C. "Whitey" Wallgren Born: September 22, 1938 in Tampico, IL Died: March 18, 2025 in Mendota, IL Glen C. "Whitey" Wallgren, 86, formerly of Putnam County, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29th, 2025, in the First Congregational Church in Bureau, Il. Pastor Bonnie Michelletti will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services in the church. Military services will be conducted by the Robert Eickmeier American Legion Post 125 in Princeton, Il and the United States Air Force Flag Folding Team. Helmer-Shields Funeral Home in Granville has been entrusted with arrangements. Glen was born September 22, 1938, in Tampico to Roy and Bertha (Anderson) Wallgren. He married Bonnie Oltman August 7, 1971 in the First Lutheran Church in Granville. Glen retired from J & L Steel/ LTV Steel in Hennepin after many years of dedicated service.
